Dr. Vladimir M. Šiljkut was born in 1966 in Belgrade, where he graduated in 1994 and received his doctorate in 2015 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. From 27.1.2017 has the scientific title of scientific associate. He worked in "Elektrodistribucija Beograd" (1995-2013) on planning, development and research of distribution networks, led the Laboratory for electricity meters and the Center for integrated management system. In "Elektroprivreda Srbije", he headed the Department for Trade and Relations with Tariff Customers in the Electricity Distribution Directorate (2013-2015). Then (2015/16) he led and coordinated projects to reduce losses in the Distribution System Operator. From 2016 to 2022, he was the head of the Service for the preparation of new investments in power plants and renewable energy sources. For more than a decade, he was also engaged as a guest lecturer in the areas of distribution and retail of electricity and power plants and switchgear, at the Higher School of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. V. Šiljkut is the (co)author of more than 75 articles and works (of which four articles in international journals), published in publications or presented at numerous national, regional and international conferences. These works are in the domain of load forecasting methods, optimal network planning, estimation of electricity losses, renewable energy sources, load management, energy transformers, metrology, etc. He is also the co-author of a practical book on electricity distribution and electricity retail, in the Serbian language. He has reviewed several articles for the international journal Applied Energy. He is a member of the Serbian National CIRED Committee, its Executive Board, most active in session 1 - Network components (as chairman), in session 2 - Electricity quality (member) and in session 5 - Planning of distribution networks.
